Recognized as one of the fathers of Impressionist painting of the 19th century, the exhibition focuses on Pierre-Auguste Renoir's later works that are unlike his previous paintings of Paris modern life. Deviate from the expected dinner and a movie on Valentine's Day and impress a date with priceless works of art instead.

Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, one of the most respected artists during the 19th century, often defended the importance of preserving the practices of old masters like Raphael. The museum provides an opportunity for locals to study the fashion and manners of the past. If that doesn't sound interesting, the Norton Simon has a permanent collection of Van Gogh's and Degas Ballerinas.

"The Color Explosion: Nineteenth Century American Lithography from the Jay T. Last Collection"

The color lithographs of the 19th century began the history of commercial advertising and changed the graphic arts dramatically in the United States. One poster for laundry detergent features an elephant surrounded by naked figures on a raft made of sea monsters. Interesting.
