Rooms entered, items stolen in Turner break-in

Two iPods and jewelry were stolen from one room and items were found moved and rummaged through in two other Turner Residence Hall ground level rooms on Sunday, Jan. 10. This incident was discovered around noon the day that Poets were allowed to return to their dorms after Winter Break.

New lockout policy holds students responsible

As of this January, the college has implemented a new lockout policy when it comes to getting locked out of your dorm room. The new policy states that any student is allowed to ask to be let into their room a total of three times before they are charged for each additional time that they get locked out.

New year's pledge class continues steady upward growth

"Joining a society is joining a family, becoming a major part of an institution. With pledging, we have to be careful not to make it hard, but not make it too easy either. The purpose is to get the pledges to really have respect for the organization, so it has to be a meaningful process," Associate Dean of Students Andre Coleman said.
