Bored? The top five winter activities

While southern California is not exactly the ideal locale for traditional winter activities, that does not necessarily mean there is a lack of things to do during these "cold" winter months. While you will not be trudging through feet of snow or scraping ice off your windshield, here are five things southern California has to offer: 1.

Facebook: a majority of people like this

Social networks such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter have increased in popularity during the last decade. Facebook has over 350 million active users compared to MySpace's estimated 125 million and the 26 million projected for Twitter in 2010. Whittier College students exemplify this trend and express a preference for Facebook over MySpace and Twitter.

MySpace; starting to lose steam?

After losing its position as the world's most trafficked social networking site to Facebook in 2008, MySpace has been steadily losing ground-and members-to other social networking sites ever since. In 2008, MySpace was the sixth most visited internet site in the entire world.
